Makemo atoll

Makemo is a large atoll in French Polynesia. There is a nice beach near Teanuanua guesthouse, as well as small lake in the west of atoll (Komo Mokorea). There is also village with relatively good infrastructure. Of course, boat tours around the atoll's lagoon are always available. So it is a good spot to visit real Polynesia without crowds. Teanuanua Beach Pearls is a great beach guesthouse. There is also Fare Tua guesthouse in the village - without beach, but with shops and cafes nearby.

Fly to Tahiti international airport (PPT), next fly to Makemo airport (MKP).

The best time for a beach holiday in Makemo atoll is a dry season from March to October.
