Tinggi island

Tinggi is an island to the southeast of Mersing town, Malaysia. It is as beautiful as Perhentian Islands, but less crowded. Good beaches are almost the same like best hotels (SHAZ and TAd Marine). Swimming is comfortable, while snorkeling on the house reef is great. There are few hiking trails in the jungle - including opportunity to visit highest peak of the island. SHAZ Resort Pulau Tinggi and TAd Marine Resort are three-star beachfront pool resorts with rooms' rates starting from US$100 per night. There are also few cheap guesthouses on the island - including Tok Mok Chalet.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Then get by taxi to the pier of Mersing town, and get by speedboat to Tinggi island.

The best time for a holiday in Tinggi island is a dry season from April to July.
