Savaii - is the second most popular island in Samoa. Tourist infrastructure is less developed than in the island of Upolu, but the atmosphere is much more relaxed. Beaches are a little worse than in Upolu, but in general they are the same. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

The island has good choice of cheap family runned accomodations (so-called fales), but most of them are not presented in the international booking systems.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Apia International Airport (APW). Next hire a taxi or take a bus to Mulifanua Port. Next take a ferry to the port of Salelologa in Savaii island. The ferry takes about one hour per way. It runs few times a day, - see the actual timetable. Next, take a taxi or a bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time to travel to Savaii island is a dry season from June to September. Bad time is the peak of a rainy season from November to April.
