is an atoll in French Polynesia being a smaller copy of Bora Bora, but without luxury overwater bungalows. Beaches
are good enough, but not very comfortable, - that is quite typical for all coral atolls. In fact, it is a great place with a low key atmosphere. It is better to spend at least a few days here, but a week or even two weeks will be the best! Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
In Maupiti, there are many guesthouses with rooms' rates starting from US$50 per night. You'll have to search the Internet for contacts of the owners, and make the booking online via e-mail.
Keep in mind, that all locals are completely relaxed. So sometimes unpleasant collisions are possible. For example, your reservation may be lost, and you'll have no idea where you should stay. However, all these problems are usually solved once you get to the island. So you should not give up on vacation in this beautiful place despite all of these difficulties.
