Manono island
Ultimate guide (October 2025)
Manono is a small island to the west of the main Upolu Island, Samoa. It is rather interesting spot - especially for those wishing to explore real Polynesia. Unfortunately, there are no good beaches. Most of the coastline is rocky and shallow water. However, relatively good swimming is possible in the southwest of the island - in
Apai village. It's a good destination for a budget travellers. Since it is possible to walk around the whole island during a day time. There are both hotels and shops. So the place is not that wild. Shore and seabed: stones, sand.
