Ly Son islands

Ly Son is a group of islands in Chu Lai region of Vietnam. Small Island (An Bình) is more popular, since it has few relatively good beaches. However, waves are strong almost everywhere. So it is possible to swim only in shallows among the rocks. So beaches are rather mediocre here. As for the Big Island, it has no beaches at all, but hiking is great there. The most interesting spot is an area near two old volcanoes in the northwest of the Big Island. Views are scenic there. And, anyway, this is the rare chance to walk along the edge of an old volcano. In hotels of Small Island, rooms' fares range from US$10 to US$20 per night. While Big Island has rooms from US$10 to US$60. If you decide to stay on Ly Son islands, you should consider Big Island. Since it has much better choice of accommodations.

Fly to Da Nang International Airport (DAD). Next get by taxi and next by boat.

The best time for a holiday in Ly Son islands is a dry season from January to August.
