Hotels [edit]

There are many hotels on the island to suit every taste, but in general they are not cheap by the China standards.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX). Then hire a taxi. Also you may fly to Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK). But it is located in the north of the island - far from best beaches. You can move around the island by buses, but it can be hard to understand how local transport is working.

When to go [edit]

Rainy season lasts from May to October, but sea water is warm during this period. On the other hand from November to April there are no rains, but the water is cold. Therefore, the optimal time for a beach holiday in the island of Hainan is spring and autumn.
