Bali island

Bali is a popular tourist island in Indonesia. However, the beaches are not so good here. The main problems are either strong waves, or a long walk to the depth. Therefore Bali beaches can be recommend for surfers only. Island is popular mainly due to a large number of cultural and natural attractions (temples, mountain lakes, etc.), as well as due to a good tourist infrastructure. Hotels [edit]

Lovely beach hotels try to compensate the lack of good beaches in Bali. For example, for $200 per night you can stay in a luxury villa with private pool. Though it is very expensive by the standards of Southeast Asia, but similar villas rental would cost much more in the U.S. or in Europe. Also there are many budget accommodation options on the island. But considering all the above, we strongly recommend not to try to save much when choosing a hotel.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Denpasar International Airport (DPS). Then hire a taxi.

There are many direct flights to Bali from all over the world. However, in many cases it will be cheaper first to fly to Bangkok, and next fly to Bali by direct route of AirAsia low cost airline.

When to go [edit]

From April to October. Keep in mind that climate of Bali has a distinct rainy season from November to March, and we don't recommended to visit the island during this period.
