Panglao island

Panglao is a small island in the Philippines known for its great beaches. Of course, it is not so good like Boracay, but in general it's almost the same. There are discos and snorkeling as well. In addition, there is an interesting island of Bohol nearby (connected with Panglao by bridge) with chocolate hills and pretty tarsiers, - these are little animals on the trees. Panglao has both cheap guesthouses (from US$15), as well as upscale beachfront resorts with rooms' rates starting from US$100 per night. But the main problem is fast developement of new hotels. So the island may become overcrowded very soon.

Fly to Tagbilaran airport (TAG). Next get to Panglao island by taxi or by shuttle minibus.

The best time for a beach holiday on Panglao island is a dry season from January to May.
