Koh Tao island

Hotels [edit]

Koh Tao has a lot of hotels for every budget. However, you can hardly find options for US$10 per night. But there are many hotels from US$30, located on an almost private beach, - as there are many secluded bays on the island.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to Koh Tao by Lomprayah catamaran. Please note, that from Bangkok to Chumphon you will get by bus anyway.

In many cases you may just walk to reach your destination, as Ko Tao island is relatively small. But the most popular transport options are water taxi, shuttle minibuses and car taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on the island of Koh Tao in Thailand is a dry season from late December to September. Please note, that October and November is a period of extremely heavy rains.
