The island has only one hotel, and another one is under construction. Therefore we advise to book in advance.
The room price is quite cheap by Maldivian standards. However, keep in mind that taxes and surcharges always rise the final price. For example, if the price for a double room is declared in a booking system as $ 85, then in reality you will pay $ 85 + 8% (tax) + 10% (another tax) + $ 8 per person per night = $ 85 * 1.08 * 1.1 + 2 * $ 8 = $ 117
However this arithmetic is common for all Maldivian hotels. And anyway, $ 117 - it's still not expensive. Find hotels in Fulhadhoo
How to get there
To get to the island, you should fly to the Maldives to Male International Airport (MLE)
If you have booked a hotel's transfer, the road to the hotel will cost $ 45 (per one way), and will be as follows. You will be met at the airport by a hotel representative and he will take you to the pier. Then you will sail two hours on a speedboat to the Goidhoo island. Hotel chief will meet you and you'll have another boat ride that will take about 15 minutes.
The boat departs at 9 am from the capital island of Male, and go back - at 2:30 pm (Monday, Thursday and Saturday only).
If you don't want to get hotel's transfer, then all the way will be the same, but you'll have to pay separately for all transportation hops. The ticket for the boat from Male to Goidhoo costs 500 Rufiyaas ($ 30) per one way, but it's not clear where you can buy it. Tes Maldives
company owns the boat. Their email displayed on the boat: firstname.lastname@example.org Find flights to Fulhadhoo
When to go
Best is a dry season from January to April. The summer period from June to August is also relatively comfortable. The rest time of year it's too rainy, lots of clouds in the sky, and you will hardly understand what is so great about that Maldives.

Useful information
This is a Muslim island, so it is allowed to swim and sunbathe in a bikini only on the west beach, which is remoted from the place where local residents live. We recommend to respect local traditions and not to walk around the village in a bikini.
Note that this is a very liberal rules, as bikini is strictly prohibited on most of other islands inhabited by locals.
There are no cafes, nor restaurants on the island. There are three small shops with a limited choice of fruit, cookies, chips, drinks and household goods. Therefore, we recommend hotel meals (fullboard - $ 35 per person per night).
As elsewhere in the maldivian islands inhabited by the locals, alcohol is not sold, and it is strictly prohibited to drink it.
