Colonia island

Colonia is the westernmost island in Federated States of Micronesia. So it is also the westernmost island of Yap region. There are just a few good beaches. While most of the coastline is made of rocky sea bottom and mangroves. Famous stone money are the major attraction of this place (sometimes have wrong name of Yap Island stone money). Hotels [edit]

Colonia Island has a limited amount of hotels. Rooms' fares start from about US$100 per night. There is also slightly larger choice of so called beach fales, while their price tag is cheaper. These are typically basic wooden houses with palmed roofs, without air conditioning and without glass in windows.
